Honestly Flo - i lost a lot of respect for a lot of people Saturday in Lexington. I heard the phrase "let me go get my cut bat" come out of several players' mouths when HR situations arose. I thought they were joking, but obviously they were not. There was a time when I would have given just about anything to play at that level; a part of me still wants to. But, I will not cheat to get there. When the day comes that I am not capable of playing on my natural, God given ability - I will hang it up. It is sad to see such great players resorting to needless tactics. Very disappointed in what I saw.

To those doing it the right way, much respect. To the others, I hope you get what you deserve for ruining this game.

Well, its bad at all levels... When conference teams are telling everyone else how to cheat with the new bats coming out... its pretty effing sad...

What the hell has this game become??  People shaving bats, AND using re-stitched 650 compression balls??     Do these same people go deer hunting with AK-47s and Handgrenades??

Someone is going to get killed/badly injured before it stops... Oh hell, who am I kidding... it wont ever stop...   Undecided

It has happened in other states. 2 guys in Virginia in the last two years. One of them was in a "pitch to your own team" tournament. Pitcher got hit in the neck and died. Just hasnt happened here yet for it to hit home I guess. Hope it doesnt either.

Ive heard the excuses "I dont intentionally hit middle when I have a shaved bat"...   And I think 80% of the guys that use shaved bats do attempt to stay out of middle.... But what happens when they are a little late, or a little early in their swing??   IMO:  Its not worth the risk, or definately not worth the reward...
